The poet George Herbert once said,“Do not wait; the time will never be ‘just right.’ Start where you stand, and work with whatever tools you may have at your command, and better tools will be found as you go along”,
People have a tendency to wait around for the perfect time to go pursue their goals. They want to wait around until they get married, the kids leave home, the economy improves, or maybe they want to wait a week, a month, or a year when they think the timing will be just perfect and the stars will be aligned.
Now, don’t get me wrong, achieving your goals does require some forethought and planning.
Look, there might even some timing issues BUT don’t fall into the trap of waiting around for the perfect time to go after those goals.
Guess what?
There will never be a perfect time.
Don’t use “the timing just isn’t right” story as an excuse to postpone the pursuit of your dreams.
Get started and keep going!
Get started from where you are with what you have. As I like to tell my audiences, “You have to jump off the cliff and learn to fly on your way down.”
This has been a keep on pushing moment.
